As of April 1, 2022, Costa Rica has ended all insurance requirements for visitors, regardless of vaccination status. It is also no longer necessary for visitors to utilize the Costa Rican Health Pass or provide any proof of vaccination to enter the country.
As the former insurance requirements have ended, visitors to Costa Rica are now able to purchase any plan they wish.
